Today is starting off on a good note (pun not intended, though perhaps ironic I admit). I finally got to listen to the new Britney Spears tracks without being thwarted by websites with incompatible media players or overworked bandwidth. Ah, sweet PopSugar.com, how I love thee. These tracks are all I could have hoped for and more. They aren’t at the caliber of Toxic but they certainly promise that Britney’s comeback is possible. Yeah for Britney! I especially like Cold as Fire, though Gimme More is also ripe with pop-y genius. Neither may be chart-topping hits but they’ve certainly committed me to buying the new album when it drops in November.
