I want this!

A product concept by Lindsey Pickett marries form and function by creating a pendant that doubles as a camera and locket. It’s really quite beautiful and I hope that it some day goes into production.

On a side note, my semester is OVER! Yeah, for me! Three down, one to go.

Cupcake Comrade

I discovered, via Coudal Partners, that there are other cupcake crusaders in pursuit of the tasty treasures.  Cupcake Finder, by Melanie Orndorff, is a website that does a supreme mash-up with Google Maps to identify bakeries in Los Angeles and New York. Hopefully she’ll branch out and include Chicago as well. In the meantime, next time I’m in the Windy City I’ll have to check out Alliance Bakery as recommended by the folks over at Coudal Partners. Hmm…

I Want This!

A gorgeous prototype for a three-dimensional camera debuted at Photokina 2006 by Olympus. It is made of Japanese Evergreen wood, the same used for building Shinto shrines.
